Gallstones

At Complete Gastro Care Hospital, we specialize in providing expert care for patients with gallstones, offering a wide range of services to ensure effective treatment and recovery. Gallstones are solid deposits that form in the gallbladder and can cause significant discomfort and complications if left untreated. Our dedicated team of gastroenterologists and surgeons is committed to delivering personalized care using advanced techniques and state-of-the-art facilities.

Our hospital utilizes advanced diagnostic imaging technologies such as ultrasound, CT scans, and MRI to accurately diagnose gallstones. These tools help us assess the size, location, and severity of the stones, guiding our treatment recommendations.

Treatment Options

Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy: This minimally invasive surgical procedure is the preferred method for removing the gallbladder when gallstones are causing symptoms. It involves making small incisions in the abdomen through which a tiny camera and surgical instruments are inserted to visualize and remove the gallbladder. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy generally results in faster recovery times and less post-operative discomfort compared to traditional open surgery.

Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP): For patients with gallstones lodged in the bile ducts, ERCP may be recommended. This procedure combines endoscopy with X-ray imaging to locate and remove or dissolve gallstones, relieving bile duct obstruction.

Percutaneous Cholecystostomy:  In cases where surgery is not feasible due to the patient’s health condition, percutaneous cholecystostomy may be performed. This involves inserting a drainage tube through the skin into the gallbladder to alleviate symptoms and reduce complications.

Comprehensive Care and Support:

Our multidisciplinary team collaborates closely to provide comprehensive care throughout the treatment journey. From initial consultation and diagnosis to surgical intervention and post-operative care, we prioritize patient comfort, safety, and effective management of gallstone-related symptoms.
